The cluster we ship on day 14 is the strongest version of the site that’s existed so far — but it’s not the strongest version that ever will exist. Pages go stale. The stack needs updating. Competitors keep publishing. A cluster that stops growing slowly stops ranking.
The care plan is the upkeep that turns the launch into compounding authority. It’s deliberately month-to-month and explicitly owns-the-site-not-the-customer — because the second a maintenance plan becomes a hostage situation, the incentives flip and the work stops being honest. We’d rather you stay because it’s working than because you’re stuck.

Do I have to be on a care plan after a build?
No. You own the site outright at launch — host it yourself, with your current IT person, or with anyone you like. The care plan exists because most established businesses don’t have someone in-house to keep a content cluster growing and a stack patched, and authority decays without it. If you do have that person, you don’t need us for this.

Yes — if it’s WordPress and in reasonable shape. We start with a short audit (sometimes that’s the $500 audit, sometimes lighter), migrate it onto our managed stack, and go from there. If it’s built on something we can’t responsibly maintain, we’ll say so — and probably suggest a rebuild instead.

What counts as a “small change request”?
Copy edits, swapping a photo, adding a team member, updating a price or a service description, fixing a typo, tweaking a CTA — the things you’d otherwise email a developer about and wait a week for. Bigger work (new section type, new template, redesign) gets quoted separately, but day-to-day stuff is just covered.
